We spent two nights here in the middle of July. The AC worked fantastic! It was very quiet with trails just outside your door. My son absolutely loved seeing all the deer. That was worth it right there. The rooms are about what you would expect, they were clean and the refrigerator was nice. we ate at the Cracker Barrel about 20 minutes away. That was convenient. I definitely recommend the extended historic tour. If that’s all you do that’s plenty.

We stayed here on our recent trip to see the cave. The room was very clean. Yes, the bathroom was dated, but also very clean. It was great staying right in the park though. These rooms are very near an accessible paved trail to the visitor center and cemetery. It was a little difficult getting to the parking lot, but that is a good thing since there are not wanderers coming and going. The ice machine did not work or was unplugged. Didn't really matter to me. I'd stay here again, but it is not the lap of luxury if you need that.

The rooms were lovely and comfortable, as good as any hotel and the air conditioning was a lifesaver with the extra hot weekend! Some wild turkeys were walking around in the mornings and were fun to watch. And my gosh, it was so quiet and peaceful at times that it felt extra resting out in the trees. The wifi was a problem and we were unable to receive texts or emails.

We stayed here with our grand kids. We had two rooms next to each other and had a great time. It was an older strip style lodge and was clean and nice. It's a national park style place to stay. The grand kids were quite impressed staying in this old style lodge. The back windows looked out toward the forest and we saw a deer pass by.

Stayed in room 306 at the lodge - Two double comfortable beds, pillows, huge walk in handicap accessible shower and large bathroom - very nice. Opened all 3 windows in the back of the room to hear nature. Lovely place, no critters! I would request room 306 and stay again without hesitation. Plenty of wildlife. Places to sit outside. Right beside the visitor center - which is where you will check in to stay at the lodge.

My family and I enjoyed staying at the Sunset Terrace Lodging. The rooms were what I expected and overall I thought the accommodations were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and conveniently located for us to hit up our Mammoth Cave Tour. We enjoyed seeing all of the deer and wildlife in the area. A nice variety of places to eat were also within the lodge as well as a lot of really great souvenirs.

The room was clean and plenty big enough. We loved being right in the park and seeing the wildlife. The only issue we had was the extreme fragrance when we entered the room. We have a fragrance allergy in the family and we had to air out the room a couple of hours before they could enter.
